Mini-Vacation time just for ME

So this will be my last entry until Sunday. And I must admit I am pretty excited. I'm going on a short little vacation to Laughlin, NV. Laughlin is a casino boat town on the Colorado River. My parents are VIP gamblers (High Rollers) on the Harrah's Casino Boats (I am NOT a gambler at all...I loose $20 bucks and feel sick to my stomach)...My mom on the other hand sticks $100 into the slot machines and it could be gone within minutes!! The casino boats like these kind of ladies!! She's your typical cigarette in one hand, drink in the other, slot-machine lady (you can picture her - can't you)!


Harrah's charters flights to Laughlin, NV for their VIPs (to get even more money out of them!!) :-) My grandma plays too! So I am my grandmother's date for the week. She's an 83 Polish immigrant and still a little spit fire. I don't spend nearly enough time with her - so I look forward to making a memory...quite possibly the last time she'll have a really nice vacation like this -- and I am honored that I will be with her!


I am even more excited about going ALONE!! Ever feel that way?!? I won't be a mom or a wife until Sunday!! I plan on sitting at the river or pool and reading a book with no one needing me...WOW - the little pleasures in life!


So I am off to over pack -- my ritual for traveling! I'll sign off with a few great pictures of Derek. You saw Derek at his 4 month session 2 months back -- He is still cute as ever with a sweet little, content personality.
