Day of Your Appointment:
Sessions are 45 minutes – 1 hour in length. I pride myself with staying on time for your session (I know that your time that you have chosen is perfect for your child…and I certainly do not want you waiting around for me as your child proceeds to have a melt down. ) Understand that it is also necessary that I stay on schedule as this is fair to everyone involved. Please plan on being 5-10 minutes early for your appointment. Use this time to get the kids out of the car, faces checked for crumbs, hair brushed…and outfits put on, if necessary.
Clothing:
I did a blog post on some Old Navy clothes that I thought would look great for photos. You can find that here: http://carriannephotography.blogspot.com/2010/09/what-to-wearwhat-to-wear.html I also love http://www.etsy.com/ for unique, funky handmade clothing. Beyond that, my best advice is to scroll through the website to find colors and combinations that pop out at you...that you love! Think about the colors you LOVE your kids in...also think about where you want them to go up in your house -- coordinating colors that match your decor always looks great hung! Babies under 8 months always look great naked or with a simple diaper cover.
Props:
All tutus, bows, hats and other items you see in the majority of my photos are available for you to use during your studio session. No need to run out to buy any extra items. Feel free to bring something special….but it certainly is not necessary. And yes…this is an obsession…so I am always adding new ‘stuff’ to my stash! I typically don’t bring much to outdoor sessions…but if there is something specific you’d like me to bring…feel free to let me know.
Payment:
Session fee is due at the time of the session. Checks or cash is accepted. Checks made payable to: Carrianne Photography. Your session includes one CD and one digital copyright...extra CD's with a digital copyright are $35. If any individual pictures of extra outside people will be taken...it will be treated as a full second session (CD included). Thanks so much for your understanding! ** Please do not burn extra CDs to hand out to your family members…do the right thing and purchase an extra CD and copyright.
Professional Printing:
Once your CD is ready…I will send you a digital copyright and pricelist with ordering instructions. Beyond the prints that come with your session, you may also choose to print and enlarge with me (I do honestly see a difference in the professional printing). I can guarantee the look and color of your pictures if you choose to print with me. Prints ordered through Carrianne Photography are printed on beautiful linen photographic paper…please ask to see a sample.
I do create custom collages, storyboards and photo cards. They will not be on your CD but will be online to view and proof. Canvas printing, boarded prints, stand outs, slim wraps and custom sized photos are also available. In addition to these custom creations, I personally handcraft photo tile jewelry and have recently added sterling silver necklaces and bracelets as well. These are made by wonderful artisans who have been hand chosen to provide you with wonderful pieces of jewelry that will last for years to come. Completion of your CD:
It normally takes 2.5-3 weeks to receive your CD (Newborn session CDs are completed in under 1 week). Please plan on waiting the full waiting period for your CD to be completed. I understand the excitement of wanting to see your photos as fast as possible, but I want that ‘wow’ factor when you do see them. I want them to be the best that they can be….and that takes time. I am not just editing a few photos for you to pick out to order…and I’m giving you way more than the average photographer or studio. Check out other prices and amount of photos you’d receive with others if you’d like. I promise, the wait is worth the quality and amount of photos you will get. **Please also plan ahead for ordering and re-editing time…although I do try to get you your photos as soon as I can…this may take up to two weeks…please plan accordingly.
